These Safety Standards outline expectations for Customers and CrewPros who use the Platform operated by Veyzo LLC (“Veyzo,” “we,” or “us”). These standards exist to promote safe interactions, reduce risk, and ensure that all work is performed responsibly and respectfully.
These Safety Standards apply to both Customers and CrewPros. They are incorporated by reference into the Consumer Terms of Use and into the CrewPro Terms of Use.
1. Purpose
These Safety Standards define acceptable behavior and safe practices for all users of the Platform. Because CrewPros are independent contractors, they are responsible for their own safety decisions and work practices. Customers are responsible for providing a safe environment for the work they request.
2. General Safety Expectations
All users must comply with applicable laws, exercise reasonable care, avoid illegal or hazardous conduct, and maintain safe conditions at all times. CrewPros must evaluate each job before beginning work and must not proceed if they believe the environment or task presents unreasonable risk. Customers must ensure the work location is safe to enter, free of known hazards, and suitable for the requested task. Both parties must behave respectfully and professionally throughout the interaction.
3. CrewPro Safety Requirements
CrewPros must take reasonable measures to ensure their own safety and the safety of Customers and property. This includes assessing job conditions, understanding task limitations, maintaining awareness of hazards, communicating concerns promptly, and refusing work that appears unsafe. CrewPros must manage their own work methods and tools, as Veyzo LLC does not supply equipment, supervise work, or guarantee the safety of any job site.
3.1 Use of Reasonable Judgment
CrewPros are expected to use sound judgment when determining whether they can safely perform a task. Factors to consider include physical limitations, the presence of hazards, unavailable equipment, structural concerns, or insufficient help for lifting or moving heavy items. If a CrewPro believes a task exceeds their ability, training, or comfort level, they must decline or stop the work immediately. CrewPros are never required to perform any task they consider unsafe.
3.2 Professional Conduct
CrewPros must act professionally at all times while on a job. This includes clear communication, respectful behavior, honesty, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with Customers and occupants. CrewPros must avoid careless or reckless behavior, must not engage in threatening or aggressive conduct, and must leave the job site immediately if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable for any reason. Misconduct may result in account suspension or removal.
3.3 Personal Protective Measures
CrewPros are independent contractors and are fully responsible for providing and using their own personal protective equipment (PPE). Recommended PPE includes gloves, closed-toe shoes, masks, safety glasses, and back-support gear when appropriate. CrewPros should use any safety equipment they deem necessary for the nature of the task, as Veyzo LLC does not supply or mandate PPE.
4. Prohibited Activities
Certain types of work are strictly prohibited due to risk, licensing requirements, or safety concerns. CrewPros may not perform:
- Electrical or plumbing work requiring a license
- Roofing or elevated structure work
- Use of ladders above 8 feet
- Mold, chemical, or biohazard handling
- Asbestos, pest, or hazardous material remediation
- Chainsaw operation or heavy power-tool use
- Tasks requiring specialized certifications
- Appliance repair involving gas or electrical components
- Moving items too heavy for one person
- Entering attics, crawlspaces, or restricted areas deemed unsafe
- Tasks involving aggressive animals, weapons, or visible illegal substances
- Any work that differs substantially from the original Booking description
If a Customer requests any prohibited activity, the CrewPro must decline immediately.
Customers may not request prohibited work. This list is also published on our Prohibited Services page and is referenced on the booking screen. A CrewPro who declines a Booking because it involves prohibited work is not treated as having cancelled, the Customer is not charged a cancellation fee, and any authorization hold is released.
5. Right to Decline Work
CrewPros have the absolute right to decline or discontinue a task at any point if they determine that the task is unsafe, unlawful, misrepresented, or beyond reasonable capability.
Declining unsafe work does not violate Platform rules, does not count as a cancellation, and does not affect the CrewPro’s rating, standing, or eligibility for future work.
Veyzo LLC will not require a CrewPro to continue any task they deem unsafe, nor will we be responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused by a CrewPro refusing unsafe work.
6. Customer Safety Obligations
Customers are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all work performed. This includes:
- Disclosing any known hazards (e.g., structural issues, insects, biohazards, broken utilities)
- Securing pets and restricting them from work areas
- Ensuring the site is clean, accessible, and free of dangerous conditions
- Not requesting prohibited tasks or high-risk activities
- Treating CrewPros respectfully and professionally
- Complying with all applicable laws
If a Customer’s conduct or environment violates these expectations, a CrewPro may leave the job site without penalty.
7. CrewPro Conduct Obligations
CrewPros must maintain high standards of conduct, which include:
- Avoiding harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior
- Not appearing to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Respecting Customer privacy and property
- Communicating schedule changes promptly
- Using care when handling Customer belongings
- Avoiding any conduct that could cause harm to people or property
Violation of conduct rules may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
8. Incident Reporting
Emergencies first. If anyone is injured or in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number before doing anything else.
Then report to Veyzo within 24 hours — or as soon as reasonably possible — any:
- Injury to any person
- Damage to property
- Unsafe condition at a job site

Veyzo LLC does not provide insurance and is not responsible for covering injuries or property damage arising from services provided through the Platform. See Section 9.
9. Liability and Insurance
Veyzo LLC does not carry insurance covering CrewPros or Customers. Veyzo does not provide workers’ compensation, occupational accident, general liability, or property coverage for CrewPros, and does not insure against damage a CrewPro may cause to a Customer’s property.
CrewPros, as independent contractors, are solely responsible for their work methods, tools, safety precautions, and actions, and are responsible for obtaining any insurance they wish to carry. Customers are responsible for the condition of their premises and any risks present, and should confirm what their own homeowner’s or renter’s policy covers.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Veyzo LLC is not liable for injuries, accidents, property damage, unsafe conditions, or tasks performed in violation of these Safety Standards. All liability arising from Services remains between the CrewPro and the Customer.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by Veyzo’s own negligence, or for Veyzo’s own gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct.
10. Updates to Safety Standards
Veyzo LLC may update or revise these Safety Standards at any time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where a revision materially changes what is required of you, we will ask you to acknowledge the revised Standards before you may continue to accept or book work.
