Important Notice
This agreement contains a binding arbitration provision and a class action waiver. By accepting these Terms, you agree to resolve disputes through individual arbitration to the fullest extent permitted by law.
You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. See Section 14.8.
This agreement also confirms that you are an independent contractor and not an employee of Veyzo LLC. Please read Section 3 carefully.
1. Acceptance
These CrewPro Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Veyzo Platform as a service provider. They form a binding agreement between you (“CrewPro,” “you,” or “your”) and Veyzo LLC (“Veyzo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By checking the acceptance box during CrewPro onboarding, or by accepting a Booking through the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not offer Services through the Platform.
The following documents are incorporated into these Terms by reference:
- Privacy Policy
- Safety Standards
- Cancellation Policy
- Community Guidelines
- Prohibited Services
The Background Check Disclosure and Authorization is a separate standalone document and is not part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
To offer Services through the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States as an independent contractor;
- Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts;
- Pass and maintain a satisfactory background check as described in Section 6; and
- Comply with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and these Terms.
You must provide your date of birth at signup. Misrepresenting your age is grounds for immediate removal.
3. Independent Contractor Status
3.1 You are an independent contractor
You are an independent contractor. You are not an employee, agent, partner, joint venturer, or representative of Veyzo LLC. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment relationship.
3.2 You control your own work
- You choose whether to work. There is no minimum number of Bookings, no required hours, no shifts, and no obligation to be available. You may go inactive at any time without notice or penalty.
- You choose which Bookings to accept. You may decline any Booking for any reason or no reason. Declining does not affect your standing.
- You control how you perform the work. Veyzo does not direct, supervise, train, or control your work methods, sequence, or technique.
- You supply your own equipment. Veyzo does not provide tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, or personal protective equipment.
- You may work elsewhere. These Terms are non-exclusive. You may provide services to others, including competitors of Veyzo, at any time.
- You may decline to travel. You choose your own service area and route.
3.3 Taxes
You are solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes on amounts you receive, including self-employment tax. Veyzo does not withhold income tax, Social Security, Medicare, or any other tax from your payments.
If you are paid $600 or more in a calendar year, you will receive an IRS Form 1099-NEC (or such other form as is then required) from Veyzo or its payment processor. You are responsible for reporting all income regardless of whether a form is issued.
3.4 No employee benefits
You are not eligible for and waive any claim to employee benefits from Veyzo, including health insurance, retirement contributions, paid leave, sick leave, vacation, overtime, minimum wage, unemployment insurance, disability insurance, or workers’ compensation.
3.5 No insurance
Veyzo does not carry workers’ compensation, occupational accident, general liability, or any other insurance covering you. Veyzo does not insure against injury to you, injury you cause to others, or damage you cause to a Customer’s property.
You are responsible for obtaining any insurance you wish to carry. We recommend you consider general liability coverage and, if you drive to jobs, confirming that your auto policy covers business use.
3.6 Platform administration is not supervision
Veyzo maintains quality and safety standards, responds to Customer reports, and may flag, suspend, or remove accounts. These are administrative actions taken to operate a marketplace and to comply with law. They are not supervision, direction, or control of your work, and do not create an employment relationship.
4. Your Obligations
You agree to:
- Perform Services with reasonable skill and care;
- Comply with the Safety Standards, including the list of Prohibited Services;
- Arrive on time for Bookings you accept, or cancel with as much notice as you can;
- Communicate promptly with Customers through the Platform;
- Treat Customers, their households, and their property with respect and care;
- Provide accurate information in your profile and in all communications;
- Obtain and maintain any license, permit, or registration the work requires;
- Comply with all applicable laws; and
- Report incidents as required by Section 8 of the Safety Standards.
You agree not to:
- Perform any Prohibited Service listed in the Safety Standards;
- Work while impaired by drugs or alcohol;
- Bring any person not assigned to the Booking to a job site;
- Enter areas of a Customer’s property not required for the work;
- Photograph, record, or share anything about a Customer’s home or household except as needed to document the work;
- Harass, discriminate against, threaten, or abuse any person;
- Subcontract or delegate a Booking to anyone else;
- Misrepresent your identity, experience, or qualifications; or
- Circumvent the Platform as described in Section 11.
5. Bookings, Payment, and Fees
5.1 How Bookings work
Bookings are offered to available CrewPros through the Platform. You have a limited window (typically one hour) to accept. A Booking is confirmed when you accept it.
5.2 What you are paid
For each completed Booking you are paid:
- The base pay quoted to you when you accepted the Booking;
- Any additional pay for time beyond the booked duration, where the Customer approved the additional time, calculated at the additional hourly rate quoted to you and rounded up to the applicable billing increment; and
- 100% of any tip the Customer leaves. Veyzo takes no portion of tips.
The amounts quoted to you at the time you accept a Booking are the amounts that apply to that Booking, even if Veyzo’s pricing changes afterward.
5.3 Platform fee
Veyzo charges the Customer a total price and retains a platform fee. The pay quoted to you is your pay; the platform fee is the difference between what the Customer pays and what CrewPros are paid, or a percentage or flat amount, depending on the pricing model for that service. The platform fee is never taken from tips.
5.4 Cancellation fees
If a Customer cancels a Booking you accepted within twelve (12) hours of the scheduled start time, or does not show, a cancellation fee is charged to the Customer. That fee is paid to you in full. Veyzo retains no portion of it. The fee is 50% of the Booking’s base price, subject to a minimum of $20 and a maximum of $75.
5.5 When you are paid
Payouts are processed through Stripe to the bank account you connect. Payouts are initiated after a Booking is completed and the Customer’s payment is captured, subject to a standard hold of two (2) business days. Your bank controls when funds appear in your account.
To receive payouts you must complete Stripe onboarding, which will require your legal name, date of birth, Social Security number or ITIN, and bank account details. Stripe collects this information directly; Veyzo does not receive or store your full Social Security number or bank credentials.
5.6 Adjustments and chargebacks
If a Customer disputes a charge, if a payment is reversed, or if Veyzo determines a payment was made in error or as a result of fraud or a violation of these Terms, Veyzo may withhold, adjust, or recover the corresponding amount from current or future payouts. Veyzo will tell you why and, where the amount is disputed, will consider information you provide.
5.7 Your cancellations
You may cancel a Booking you have accepted. Repeated cancellations or failures to appear may result in account flags, suspension, or removal, as described in the Cancellation Policy. Declining a Booking you have not accepted is never a cancellation. Declining or stopping unsafe, unlawful, prohibited, or materially misrepresented work is never a cancellation.
6. Background Checks
Participation on the Platform is conditioned on a background check conducted by a third-party consumer reporting agency.
Before any check is obtained, you will receive a standalone written disclosure and will be asked to provide written authorization, and you will be given a copy of the federal Summary of Your Rights Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Those documents are separate from these Terms.
If Veyzo intends to take adverse action based in whole or in part on a consumer report, you will receive a pre-adverse action notice with a copy of the report and the Summary of Rights, a reasonable period (ordinarily five business days) to dispute its accuracy with the agency, and a final adverse action notice if Veyzo proceeds.
Veyzo may obtain updated checks periodically while you remain active on the Platform, subject to the same process.
7. Location Data
To confirm you are at the correct job site, the Platform collects your precise location when you mark yourself en route to a Booking and when you mark a Booking started. It does not collect your location continuously, and it does not collect your location when you are not working. You may disable location access in your device settings, but you will not be able to mark yourself en route or start a job without it.
8. Your Content and the Platform
You retain ownership of the content you submit — your profile, photographs, and messages. You grant Veyzo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Platform.
You may not use Veyzo’s name, logo, or branding except to identify yourself as available for work through the Platform, and you may not represent yourself as an employee or agent of Veyzo.
9. Customer Privacy and Confidentiality
Customer information you receive through the Platform — names, addresses, phone numbers, access codes, and anything you observe in a Customer’s home — is confidential. You may use it only to perform the Booking. You may not retain it, share it, publish it, or use it to contact the Customer for any other purpose after the Booking is complete.
10. Ratings and Standing
Customers may rate and review your work. Veyzo may display ratings, completion rates, and reliability metrics to Customers and to you.
Veyzo may remove a review that violates the Community Guidelines. Veyzo does not guarantee any volume of Bookings, any ranking, or any particular visibility on the Platform.
11. No Circumvention
You agree that for twelve (12) months after you first perform a Booking for a Customer, you will not solicit or accept work from that Customer, for services of the type offered on the Platform, outside the Platform.
This does not prevent you from working for anyone you already had a relationship with before meeting them through Veyzo, and it does not restrict your ability to work for any other person or company. It applies only to Customers introduced to you by Veyzo, only to the categories of work offered through the Platform, and only for twelve months.
Nothing in this section restricts your right to work generally, and this section is not a non-compete.
12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop at any time. You may go inactive or close your account at any time, for any reason, without notice or penalty. You will be paid for Bookings you have completed.
We may suspend or remove you if we believe you have violated these Terms, the Safety Standards, or the Community Guidelines; created a safety risk; engaged in fraud; failed a background check; or otherwise acted in a way that may harm Veyzo, Customers, or other CrewPros.
Where we suspend or remove you, we will tell you the reason unless we are legally prohibited from doing so or believe disclosure would create a safety risk. You may respond by emailing support@veyzo.com, and we will consider what you provide.
Where removal is based in whole or in part on a consumer report, the FCRA adverse action process in Section 6 applies.
13. Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnity
13.1 No guarantee of work
Veyzo does not guarantee any amount of work, any level of earnings, or that any Booking will be available. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
13.2 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veyzo LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost earning opportunity.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform will not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid to you through the Platform in the six (6) months before the claim arose, or (b) five hundred dollars ($500).
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, our own fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, our own gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13.3 Assumption of risk
You understand that performing physical labor in other people’s homes and properties carries inherent risk of injury. You accept that risk. You are responsible for assessing each job before beginning and for declining work you believe is unsafe.
13.4 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Veyzo LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:
- Services you perform or fail to perform;
- Injury to any person or damage to any property arising from your acts or omissions;
- Your violation of these Terms, the Safety Standards, or any law;
- Your tax obligations; or
- Any claim that you were an employee of Veyzo, to the extent the claim arises from your own misrepresentation.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent a claim arises from Veyzo’s own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
14.1 Informal resolution first
Before initiating arbitration, you and Veyzo agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least sixty (60) days. Send a written Notice of Dispute to support@veyzo.com and to Veyzo LLC, 4932 Village Terrace Dr., Dunwoody, GA 30338. Any applicable limitations period is tolled during this process.
14.2 Agreement to arbitrate
Except as stated below, you and Veyzo agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Platform, your Services, your classification as an independent contractor, or your compensation — including formation, interpretation, breach, enforcement, or termination, and including whether a claim is arbitrable — will be resolved by binding individual arbitration and not in court.
14.3 Administrator and rules
The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”). Where the dispute concerns your engagement, classification, or compensation, the AAA’s Employment/Workplace Arbitration Rules apply; otherwise the AAA’s Commercial Arbitration Rules apply. In each case the rules apply as modified by this Section 14. The rules are available at www.adr.org.
14.4 Fees
Veyzo will pay all AAA filing, administration, and arbitrator fees in excess of any amount the applicable AAA rules require you to pay, and will pay your share as well where the applicable rules permit Veyzo to do so.
14.5 Location and format
Arbitration will take place in DeKalb County, Georgia; or, at your election, in the county where you reside; or by telephone, videoconference, or on documents only where the rules permit.
14.6 Class and collective action waiver
You and Veyzo each waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative action, including any representative action under a state private attorney general statute to the extent waivable. The arbitrator may award relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief.
14.7 Coordinated filings
If twenty-five (25) or more similar demands are filed against Veyzo by or with the assistance of the same law firm or coordinated group of firms within ninety (90) days, the demands will be administered in sequential batches of no more than fifty (50), with a single arbitrator per batch, applying any mass-arbitration protocol the AAA has adopted.
14.8 Your right to opt out
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement. Send written notice to support@veyzo.com with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms, including your name, the email address on your account, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out.
Opting out will not affect your account, your access to Bookings, your pay, or your standing on the Platform in any way. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts identified in Section 15.
14.9 Exceptions
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, or seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or confidential information. Nothing here prevents you from filing a charge or complaint with, or participating in an investigation by, any government agency, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, or any state equivalent.
14.10 Governing law, survival, severability
The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section 14. It survives termination. If any part is unenforceable, the remainder applies, except that if the class waiver is unenforceable as to a claim, that claim proceeds in court and the others remain in arbitration.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Except where arbitration applies, any action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in DeKalb County, Georgia.
16. Modifications
We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms and update the “Last Updated” date, and changes take effect thirty (30) days after posting.
If we make a material change — including to Section 3 (Independent Contractor Status), Section 5 (Payment), Section 11 (No Circumvention), or Section 14 (Arbitration) — we will ask you to affirmatively accept the revised Terms before you may accept further Bookings. Continued use alone does not constitute acceptance of a material change.
The version in effect when you accepted a Booking governs that Booking.
17. General Provisions
Severability. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed. The rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. A waiver is effective only in writing signed by an authorized representative of Veyzo LLC.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms or your account. Veyzo may assign to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. Neither party is liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the documents incorporated by reference are the entire agreement between you and Veyzo regarding your use of the Platform as a CrewPro, and supersede all prior agreements on that subject. The Background Check Disclosure and Authorization stands separately.
Survival. Sections 3.3 (Taxes), 5.6 (Adjustments), 9 (Customer Privacy), 11 (No Circumvention), 13 (Disclaimers, Liability, Indemnity), 14 (Arbitration), 15 (Governing Law), and 17 survive termination.
Notices. We may notify you by email to the address on your account or by in-app message. Legal notices to us must go to support@veyzo.com and to the address below.
Electronic signatures. You agree that checking a box or clicking a button on the Platform has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature, and that Veyzo’s records of your acceptance satisfy any writing requirement.
Headings. For convenience only.
